French GP return at Paul Ricard confirmed for 2018
The return of the French Grand Prix at Paul Ricard has been confirmed for the 2018 Formula One season. The announcement of a deal being settled was made on Monday at the Automobile Club de France headquarters in Paris, after speculation arose last week when Bernie Ecclestone name France as a replacement for the recently axed German Grand Prix. 'Today I can announce clearly, firmly, and finally, the return of the French Grand Prix for the summer in 2018, at the circuit Paul Ricard,” said Christian Estrosi, head of the Provence-Aples-Cote d'Azur. “We are proud of this great return after 10 years.
