Alonso hints at WEC switch post McLaren deal

Fernando Alonso has sent the clearest indication so far that he might join Porsche to race in the World Endurance Championship next after his deal with McLaren expires at the end of 2017. The hint came in light when Alonso spoke in a tribute video for former F1 driver Mark Webber, also the Spaniard’s friend, who retired from motorsport after the WEC season-finale in Bahrain. Webber moved to endurance racing with Porche in 2014 and had announced his retirement earlier this year.
