Esteban Gutierrez struggled with the brakes on his Haas VF-16 during the Mexican Grand Prix, not an ideal situation while you're trying to climb up the grid. The Haas F1 Team driver started the Grand Prix in seventeenth and was able to survive an incident between himself, Marcus Ericsson and Pascal Wehrlein through turn one. Gutierrez emerged unscathed and jumped up to fourteenth. From here however, the Mexican was unable to manage this position, with him slowly dropping down the grid. He saw the chequered flag in nineteenth, ahead of team-mate Romain Grosjean.
