Jolyon Palmer: 'We made good progress with understanding the track'
Jolyon Palmer believes Renault Sport Formula 1 Team made good progress with understanding the Baku City Circuit. The Briton set a fastest lap time of 1:50.910 to finish the opening practice session in eighteenth behind the Scuderia Toro Rosso of Daniil Kvyat. He then improved on this time in Free Practice 2 to finish the session with a time of 1:47.794, finished behind the Sauber of Marcus Ericsson. Even though Palmer improved on his time, he was unable to increase his position out on track, he finished the session in twentieth. During the practices sessions, there were quite a few drivers who went wide coming into some of the corners, and during FP2 Palmer had a moment where he went off...
