Hamilton's China engine to be kept as spare

Russian Grand Prix – Lewis Hamilton's Chinese GP engine is to be kept on as a spare, with Mercedes saying that it will remain usable when needed.  Hamilton encountered a problem that necessitated a power unit change after qualifying at the Chinese GP. Heading out on track to begin Q1, Hamilton slowed on track and was unable to put in a time, resulting in him starting from the very back of the grid on the Sunday. The issue was found to be the MGU-H, and Mercedes now say that the power unit at fault is re-usable.
