Alonso still 'feels confident about beating anyone'

Fernando Alonso says that he still feels capable of beating any other driver on the grid, provided he has the machinery to do so. Supposedly entering the twilight of his career at the ripe old age of 35 this season, Alonso says that he feels everybody has the benefit of hindsight when questioning some of the team moves he has made over his career. Alonso has been king of ill timed moves and decision over the last decade, leaving a strong McLaren for a weak Renault squad at the end of 2007 before joining Ferrari – a move that yielded no titles between 2010 & 2014.
