Ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, Adrian Newey is the topic of conversation in the Formula 1 paddock. Several teams are being linked with the sought-after designer and Lewis Hamilton has already expressed that he would love to work with Newey at Ferrari. Responding to the Mercedes driver's words, the 65-year-old Briton says he is already looking forward to the 2026 rule changes.

Newey responds to Hamilton's words

Lewis Hamilton indicated that he would "very, very much like" to see Newey come to Ferrari in 2025. The two have never worked together - Newey had left for Red Bull Racing not too long ago when Hamilton made his debut at McLaren - but both have expressed a desire for a collaboration in the past.

Faced with Hamilton's words and asked if he sees himself in the red, Newey modestly replied: "It's too [early]. Honestly, as I say, it's very kind of Lewis to say that. [I’m] very flattered. But at the moment, it's just take a little bit of a break and see what happens next."

He says he hasn't made any plans for the future yet. "I think Mandy, my wife, and the dogs will probably go travelling, get a motorhome or something and go down through France and just enjoy life. And then maybe at some point, I don't know when, I'll be standing in the shower and say, 'Right, this is going to be the next adventure'. But right now, there is no plan."
