Mick Schumacher is set to make his Mercedes track debut in the days after the upcoming Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix.
After joining the Silver Arrows as a reserve driver for the 2023 F1 season, Schumacher will get behind the wheel of the W14 for the first time as part of a Pirelli tyre test, according to reports from German publication Bild.
The testing session is due to take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in the days after Formula 1 goes racing at the track, with Schumacher to drive on Wednesday while George Russell is set to be on duty on Tuesday.
Schumacher has so far only tested in the simulator for Mercedes, and is also on standby at race weekends should he be called upon in his reserve driver capacity.
The German – who raced for Haas in 2021 and 2022 before being replaced by Nico Hulkenberg for the 2023 campaign – has previously spoken positively of his experiences at Mercedes since joining the outfit.
