Esteban Ocon put in a fantastic performance at the Monaco Grand Prix. He finished third with his Alpine car in the Mediterranean dwarf state. During his post-race interview, the French Alpine driver indicated that he hopes many more podium finishes will follow.

"Everyone's delighted, that's for sure. You know, Formula One is unpredictable. As I keep saying, we keep pushing. We don't stop believing. And hopefully, that's the first podium of many," the Frenchman said. Third place at the Monaco race earned Ocon ninth place in the world championship. Ocon has gained seven more points than teammate Pierre Gasly this season.

Rossi and Ocon satisfied

Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi has indicated he is satisfied with the current state of affairs within the French team. A few weeks ago, much criticism of him appeared against the Alpine formation. The tide seems to have somewhat turned with this podium finish by Ocon.

"You don't know what's going to happen. And at the moment, how tight the field is, you know, a little bit more pace can change your weekend completely. And yes, this weekend was great, a great preparation," the French driver added.
