James Key joins Alfa Romeo as Technical Director

Former McLaren Technical Director James Key will join the Sauber Group to bolster Audi transition as the German manufacturer ramps up its preparation for its works entry in 2026. With the Sauber Motorsport preparing to become a works team with Audi in 2026, the organization is constantly taking crucial step towards its entry. In January 2023, Andreas Seidl has been appointed their new Group CEO. The former McLaren Team Principal is set to oversee Audi's entry to Formula 1 in 2026. Sauber Motorsport has now announced that Key, who has more than 25 years’ worth of experience in Formula One, will join the Hinwil squad on September 1st, 2023, taking over the position from Jan Monchaux....
