AlphaTauri still waiting on Ferrari for new team boss

Laurent Mekies is still waiting to learn when he will leave Ferrari to become boss at AlphaTauri Laurent Mekies is confident a solution will be found as to when he will be released from Ferrari and allowed to take over as the new team principal of AlphaTauri. A month ago, AlphaTauri announced that after 18 seasons at the helm, Tost would be leaving, with the team implementing a new management structure. Alongside the appointment of former F1 executive and FIA secretary general for sport Peter Bayer as chief executive officer, the team has also recruited Ferrari sporting director Mekies to replace Tost as team boss.
