The race at Imola was called off early in the week after extensive rainfall led to flooding and landslides in the surrounding region. Alfa Romeo driver Bottas did not take the weekend off for relaxation ahead of the Monaco and Spanish Grands Prix double-header though, instead taking part in the Gralloch Gravel event – part of the UCI Gravel World Series.
