Alex Albon has been discharged from hospital following his crash on the opening lap of the British Grand Prix. As the chaos involving Zhou Guanyu, George Russell and Pierre Gasly unfolded in front of him, the rear of Albon's Williams was hit by the Aston Martin of Sebastian Vettel, firing him towards the right wall of the straight. The Anglo-Thai driver spun multiple times at pace before coming back on to the track and colliding with Esteban Ocon, also picking up a whack from Yuki Tsunoda. The Williams car was damaged beyond salvation and Albon was taken to Coventry Hospital for what the team described as precautionary checks.
