Binotto plays down impact of Hamilton ‘rocket’ engine

Ferrari boss Mattia Binotto does not believe that the dominant display from Lewis Hamilton in Brazil was fully engine related. Mercedes gave their title challenger a fifth new Internal Combustion Engine for the season ahead of the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, and few expected the level of performance which followed. Despite the five-place engine penalty and his disqualification from qualifying on that sprint weekend, Hamilton still was able to win the race, passing title rival Max Verstappen on-track to do so.
