Mercedes fear Bottas' write-off will limit upgrades

Toto Wolff fears Valtteri Bottas' Imola crash could have reaching consequences, taking money away from upgrades as Mercedes operate under F1's new budget cap. Bottas and George Russell crashed heavily at Sunday's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, both cars suffering major damage. Damage that is likely to cost both teams a pretty penny with Wolff declaring Bottas' W12 to be a write-off. 'Our car is a write-off,' said the Austrian.
