‘We believe Mick, Callum and Robert have what it takes'

Ferrari Sporting Director Laurent Mekies feels that Mick Schumacher, Callum Ilott and Robert Shwartzman are all good enough for F1. All three are part of the Italian team's academy and have impressed in Formula 2 this season. Schumacher currently leads the Championship, with Ilott P2 and Shwartzman P5. Mekies has stated that each of them will make their Formula 1 debut at the end of this year, taking part in the Abu Dhabi young driver test, and says that Ferrari has high hopes for all of them. “I have to start by congratulating the Ferrari Driver Academy students who have all done very well this season,' he said.
