McLaren still searching for ‘consistent' pit stops
McLaren principal Andreas Seidl was happy with the team's pit-stop improvements in Spain but says the next challenge is consistency. Whilst you have the likes of Red Bull setting ridiculously fast pit-stop times, McLaren have been at the other end of the scale this season. In fact, at the Hungarian Grand Prix McLaren found themselves at the bottom of the fastest pit stop times, 0.5s slower than Haas. Slowly those times are starting to improve, whilst Seidl also noted that equipment failures have held the team back at times this season. But going forward the team's next challenge is consistency.
