After investing heavily in British carmaker Aston Martin, with the cash influx including an agreement to have Aston return to the F1 grid in 2021 as a constructor, Lawrence Stroll has reportedly told the company's employees he wants to establish the team as a top team. Racing Point, Stroll's team that will change its name to Aston Martin next year, has only existed about a year and a half. Stroll led a consortium of investors to buy Force India out of trouble in the summer of 2018, changing the team's name to Racing Point.
