Hamilton, Verstappen and Bottas leave Ferrari trailing: Monaco GP FP1 Results

Lewis Hamilton began the Monaco Grand Prix weekend by topping the timesheets in Thursday's first practice session, although Max Verstappen kept him honest with a fine show in the Red Bull. Hamilton went fastest with a time of 1:12.106, but Verstappen was within sixth hundredths of a second and Valtteri Bottas was only marginally slower again in the other Mercedes. Article continues under video Ferrari were unable to make a similar impression, with Charles Leclerc three tenths adrift of Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel trailing the world champion by eight tenths.
