Spanish Grand Prix – Ferrari have confirmed that they will use a new specification power unit from this weekend on, having brought forward its planned introduction. Ferrari begin the European leg of this year's championship on the back foot. Having been pre-season favourites to start the year with the quickest car, Mercedes instead have taken four consecutive 1-2 finishes and dominate both championships. In an effort to redress the balance, Ferrari are introducing updates for the Spanish round.
