Albon: I’m just focused on myself and let’s see how it all goes
Rookie Alexander Albon was the surprise addition to this year's Formula 1 World Championship grid, against expectations and very much under the radar Toro Rosso showed faith in the Thai driver. The 22-year-old impressed in Formula 2 last year behind champion George Russell and second-placed Lando Norris, the pair also rookies this year with Williams and McLaren respectively. With Brendon Hartley shown the door at Red Bull after his troubled 2018 season and Pierre Gasly promoted to the senior Red Bull team, Albon ticked all the boxes for the energy drinks team chiefs who gave him his break, handing him the keys to car #23.
