Reports: Mick Schumacher close to Ferrari junior role

Reigning European Formula 3 Champion Mick Schumacher, the son of seven-time F1 world champion Michael, is reportedly close to agreeing to join Ferrari's young driver academy. Sources close to the team believe that the 19-year-old is close to signing a deal to become a Ferrari academy driver, following in the footsteps of Charles Leclerc and Antonio Giovinazzi. Ferrari have previously expressed their interest in continuing their association with the Schumacher name, with Michael having raced for them from 1996-2006, a period which brought five drivers' championship titles and six constructors' championships.
