Vergne is open to Formula 1 and Formula E merger

Jean-Eric Vergne is in a better position than most to draw the similarities and differences between Formula 1 and its electric alternative, Formula E. Talks of a merger are still premature at this stage, but the Frenchman would be open to the idea. Vergne is the reigning world champion of Formula E, and is currently sitting in second, with the season only just started. There have been rumours about the FIA opening up a single championship that has the 'best of both worlds' being used.
