LMP1/Indy helped him complete 21-0 qualifying sweep over Vandoorne says Alonso
Fernando Alonso believes his LMP1 and IndyCar experience helped him improve as a driver and played a vital role in the 21-0 victory in the qualifying at McLaren. If you include the 2017 season, the Spaniard went on a run of 26 qualifying finishes ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne. Trying to shed light on the secret, Alonso believes the tests and extra experience he's picked up over the last couple of years have helped him improve.
