Nico Hulkenberg was trapped for several minutes in his Renault after crashing and barrel-rolling into the barriers in an opening lap melee at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Marshals were rapid to extinguish what appeared to be a small fire on the upside-down car before they righted the car and Hulkenberg climbed out apparently unscathed. The Halo doing a great job to prevent a head injury which might have been certain without it. During the incident, the world breathed a sigh of relief as, while upsidedown Hulkenberg said over the radio: 'I'm hanging here like a cow… get me out of this car!'
