De la Rosa: Ferrari didn't defend Vettel in his time of need

Formula 1 veteran Pedro de la Rosa has accused Ferrari of abandoning their title contending star driver Sebastian Vettel during his time of need in the duel for the drivers' world championship this season. Vettel and Ferrari started the season in fine form, for the first time in this turbo hybrid era the Reds seemed to have the better of Mercedes, but a combination of the Silver Arrows and Lewis Hamilton at his peak conspired against the Scuderia, their cause not aided by a slew of self-induced mistakes during the crucial latter half of the season.
