Sainz At McLaren Would Suffer Against ‘Beast' Alonso, Says de la Rosa

Former Formula 1 driver Pedro de la Rosa believes Carlos Sainz Jr. will suffer at McLaren F1 Team if he was to partner with ‘beast' Fernando Alonso. Speculations has surrounded over Sainz future in Formula 1, as Renault Sport Formula One Team are seeking options if they fail to reach an agreement with Red Bull Racing to keep the Spaniard on permanently. Esteban Ocon is currently the leading candidate for the seat at Renault next year. McLaren could be Sainz new home with him replacing Stoffel Vandoorne and partnering with fellow Spaniard and Sainz's childhood hero, Alonso.
