Renault and team principal Fred Vasseur have parted ways by mutual consent ahead of the 2017 Formula 1 season. The Frenchman’s resignation doesn’t come as a surprise as the Enstone-based outfit suffered a difficult season last year as they only accumulated eight points after 21 races. Interestingly, Vassuer only spent one season at Renault, spending most of his career in the junior categories.
