Formula 1’s tyre supplier Pirelli has announced the compounds it has nominated for September’s Singapore Grand Prix. 2016 regulation changes mean nominations for fly-away rounds have to be made 14 weeks in advance, compared to the eight-week deadline for European races. Singapore’s Marina Bay Street Circuit will see the new purple-marked ultra-soft, the super-soft and soft compounds used over the race weekend. The mandatory tyres available for the race are one set of softs and one set of super-softs. The ultra-soft tyre has been assigned for qualifying.
