Hamilton involved in Monaco car crash

Lewis Hamilton has revealed that part of the reason for his delayed arrival in Brazil ahead of this weekend's race is that he was involved in a minor car accident on Monday. The triple World Champion was not in Brazil on Wednesday to take his place at a scheduled press conference, with organisers having said that Hamilton had cited 'personal reasons' for his failure to attend. Mercedes later stated that Hamilton was suffering from a fever, but would be well enough to take his place on the grid for the weekend's race at Interlagos.
