Bird hoping to ‘bounce back' in Putrajaya

DS Virgin Racing driver Sam Bird is targeting an improved result at the Putrajaya ePrix after a 'disappointing' seventh place in the season-opening Beijing ePrix. After qualifying both cars in the top ten, both Bird and team-mate Jean-Eric Vergne had difficulties in the race, preventing the team from scoring big points. Bird spent part of his race recovering from an early mistake before trying to regain positions from losing out at the pit stops.
