The women most likely to break into Formula One

Lotus development driver Carmen Lotus has recently taken an opposing view to Wolff in the debate about the best way forward for women in the sport. Responding to Bernie Ecclestone’s suggestion that an all-female series could be created, Wolff said that she would not be interested in winning such a race. But Jorda, who started out in the Firestone Indy Lights Series, before graduating to GP3 with Ocean Racing Technology, said that a female F1 competition could be the right answer. If she can continue her progress as a development driver at Lotus, Jorda could be one of the drivers to pave the way for women in F1.
