Hamilton: Contract extension was an 'easy decision to make'
Lewis Hamilton, fresh off the back of signing with Mercedes AMG for a further three seasons, says signing with the team was never in question. 'I've been with Mercedes for a long long time.' Lewis said at today's press conference in Monaco. 'They were really important in getting me into Formula 1, I signed with them in 1997 back when it was McLaren-Mercedes. They were hugely influential in guiding me into Formula 1, and I've only ever driven with them. So it was natural that I'd want to continue with them.' Lewis currently leads the Driver's World Championship for Mercedes, enjoying a twenty point lead over team-mate Nico Rosberg. The team also lead the Constructor's Championship by 70...
