Iran has announced plans to build a Formula 1 circuit in in Qeshm Island in the south of the country. Vice President and Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Masoud Soltanifar said on Sunday that Iran has a plan to construct F1 circuit in Qeshm Island, as reported by news agency IRNA. “Iran has so many young people with an increasing tendency for driving. Formula 1 has a great future in Iran.” He said that Qeshm Island has the potential to become one of the world's most beautiful formula 1 destination.
