The mess at Caterham has descended into he-said, she-said, with Tony Fernandes saying the buyers failed to meet certain conditions of the sale, while the team's new owners said they had never owned the team at all, with no share transfer made despite monies paid. A series of back-and-forth statements between Fernandes and the Swiss consortium took place against a new administrator moving into Leafield accompanied by private security guards. After talks to negotiate a new lease agreement for the F1 team failed to bear fruit, on Thursday the administrator locked the team out of the factory, jeapordising the team's chances of racing at the next grand prix in Austin.
