Button backs Whitmarsh amid car troubles

"true">Jenson Button has leapt to the defence of McLaren Team Principal Martin Whitmarsh following the outfit's worst start to a Formula 1 season in four years, arguing that he is "the best leader" to guide it through its current on-track difficulties. Having failed to finish a Grand Prix higher than fifth so far this year McLaren sits sixth in the Constructors' standings on a total of 37 points, 14 behind nearest rivals Force India and 164 [more than six race victories] behind current leaders Red Bull. However, despite the Woking-based squad's current performance woes, 2009 World Champion Button insists that the entire workforce remains united behind Whitmarsh....
