Button rues strategy blunder

Jenson Button and his McLaren team are ruing a strategy blunder that saw the Brit finish outside the points in today's Canadian Grand Prix. The Woking based squad put their lead driver on the supersoft Pirelli tyres for the first of his two stints – he ran a one stop strategy – but with hindsight he feels that a better result would have been possible had they started on the mediums. Reflecting on the move, Button said: 'With hindsight, I think we'd have been better off starting on the Prime tyre, rather than the Option.
